The people behind GX.

Four people — two materials scientists, one civil engineer, one construction industry professional — working on a product that targets a specific, solvable problem in the concrete market. The shared view: crack management should be specified in at the mix design stage, not contracted out at the maintenance stage.

Paolo Sabatini
Co-Founder & CEO

Spent years in cementitious materials research — first studying autogenous healing in cement paste systems, then at an early-stage industrial chemistry company developing polymer-cement interface additives. Co-founded Gelmedix in 2022 in Cambridge, MA after identifying the gap between the industry's mature repair-product market and the near-absence of crack-prevention chemistry built into the primary mix. Leads product direction, specification partnerships, and customer development.

Materials chemist co-founder at Gelmedix
Dr. Priya Mehta
Co-Founder, Materials Chemistry

Materials scientist with research background in polymer swelling systems and pozzolanic reaction kinetics in blended cement pastes. Leads GX healing matrix chemistry — including precursor encapsulation, activation threshold design, and the gel-to-solid phase transition behaviour that determines the target sealing window. Also leads SCM formulation work for the calcined clay and synthetic pozzolan blends used across the GX-30, GX-40, and GX-50 product range.

Civil engineering applications lead at Gelmedix
Marcus Lindqvist
Civil Engineering Applications Lead

Civil engineer with prior experience in structural durability assessment and condition inspection for bridge and infrastructure assets. Translates GX laboratory performance data — crack width envelope, chloride diffusion resistance targets, activation temperature range — into application-specific specification language for infrastructure, commercial, and industrial projects. Responsible for the exposure class guidance and CSI MasterFormat model specification sections provided to specifiers.

Business development director at Gelmedix
Sarah Okonkwo
Business Development Director

Construction industry background across procurement management and specification consulting at a mid-size contractor. Understands the specifier's procurement process from both sides — the engineer writing the section and the contractor pricing to it. Leads contractor and specifier relationships, the Partner Portal access programme, and technical documentation delivery to procurement contacts at construction firms evaluating GX for upcoming project specifications.

We are building.

We are looking for people who want to work on hard materials problems with real infrastructure consequences. This is not a product management or growth role — the open positions are technical. Cementitious systems chemistry, structural durability engineering, construction materials specification. If that is your background, reach out directly through the contact form.
